Does this deck box provide protection from cushions mildew

The box is pretty much waterproof. However if it will be located in an area that will get say, 2-3 inches of rain and would be in that depth of water for long, water can get inside since it snaps together at the bottom.If that happens I would remove the cushions, dry out the bottom and let the cushions also dry out. I have 2 of these boxes on my deck and have had no problem.
