If a pet were to drop on it how long will the floor be able to withstand it since it’s not waterproof? I don’t want it to get ruined while at work.

This wood core based flooring, just like real hardwood flooring, will stand up very well to normal household spills, pet droppings, etc. However, just like real hardwood, this floor is not “waterproof”, and normal household spills, pet droppings, etc. should be cleaned up in a timely manner.
