How do you clean the filter? Nothing about the filtering in the instructions.

Hello Chris. Thank you for your inquiry. Please make sure the unit is unplugged before you proceed with any maintenance. Remove the filter cover, remove the filter pad, pull off the pump from the base plate, and rinse the filter. To clean the pump you would slide off the front cover, pull off the impeller cover (looks like a large tear drop), pull out impeller assembly (you might need tweezers or needle nose pliers), make sure all 3 parts are clean and not damaged, run warm water in the hole the impeller was sitting in for about 30-45 seconds, and then you will put the pump back together.
