How do you separate the knob from the bottom plate in order to be able to screw in the screws?


There is a notch on the side of the cover plate, where you insert a small flat screwdriver between the cover plate and the chassis to separate the two. Once you install the chassis on the door, you press the cover plate back on firmly.
