why cant this be used on vinyl planks that are 4mm ?

QuietWalk underlayment would be too thick (3mm thick) that it can cause the click-lock mechanism to fail. QuietWalk Luxury Vinyl underlayment was designed for vinyl planks that are 4mm or thinner with the same profile as QuietWalk.
