I have a 4'x5' ft area to replace . Can i reuse the old pieces , if crushed, as filler material.


You didn't mention the total thickness of the area you are filling, so my answer is conditional: a) the underlying base material must be tamped very firmly to provide support. b) add crushed old asphalt and tamp firmly, leaving a minimum of 1.25" above for the new asphalt patch material c) ensure the new bags are sealed and fresh, i.e. easily pour out per instructions d) tamp firmly in place

I would not try it because it would only dilute the product. The total adhesion would surely be affected. Buy two bags and be done with it.
