Any temperature above 60 degrees will work well with this product, but it could still be applied in colder temperatures, but will not be as malleable.

I like the temp to be around 70 - 80 degrees when using it

I have used this in NC during the summer and winter months. Our winters usually get as low as 20 degrees. The only suggestion I would have if you're not using this on a warm summer day is to bring it inside a warm home. Allow the asphalt to warm up and become loose - it'll make the application very easy.

The hotter the better...85-90 degrees makes the product very pliable and easy to compact.

You can use this in a wide temp zone. However, the 4 times I've used it I made sure the ground and air temp were over 50. Seems to pack down better if it's not cold.
