Was this Answer Helpful ?This underlayment is a bit thin if you have a lot of voids or humps in your concrete floor. If you do have lots of variation I would consider floating the floor before laying the flooring down. As long as you have a reasonably level and/or smooth slab, this foam underlayment will work very well. It has a vapor barrier on one side and we used it as underlayment for the flooring installed in a women's clothing store. I can testify to the fact that the flooring still looks new two years later despite the amount of foot traffic and the underlayment seems to be preforming perfectly over concrete slab in a part of California that gets several months of real winter weather every year.
