Other than warranty, what is the negative effect of removing more than 5 slats when shortening the blinds?


Thank you for your question. There is a weighted mechanism in the head rail that is only designed to function properly with removal of up to 5 slats. Removing more than 5 slats will alter the weight too much causing the ladder cords to retract in head rail, ruining the blind, and voiding warranty.
