Diameter and lifting power of magnet?

The magnet has a 1/4" diameter and the socket that holds the magnet is also 1/4". The magnet probably fits snug in the socket; if that's so then the magnet is approx. 1/4" long. I don't know the exact strength of the magnet but it's not heavy duty. It's designed for light duty, picking up screws, etc. I was able to pick up a heavy duty door hinge, if that helps.
