I bought this product some time ago and never had to change a Bulb.

we are having the same problem you had. The small knobby thing holding on the glass globe will not come lose. My father is 94 and I was trying to change his bulbs and have tried everything to loosen it. The globe will turn but the knobby thing won't move and no way to grip it. Tried using vise grips, filing down the knob on each side to get a grip. Tried rubber gloves to grasp and turn. Tried spraying the knob to loosen it with wd40. That just made it slippery. Anyone else have this issue. Mar
Was this Answer Helpful ?I removed the head and tried turning the glass shade but it will not come off. Below the head there was a hex nut that appears to be holding the glass in place. Whoever installed these lights used a heavy hand to tighten the nut because I cannot get it undone and am afraid of breaking the glass by trying to use pliers ( especially difficult as the nut is flush against the glass). Both lights now have burned out bulbs and until I can figure out how to get the glass off we remain in the dark. I was successful removing the entire fixture from the ceiling thinking that is how the bulbs are accessed and am now trying to realign the ceiling mount plate with the screws...good times.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I believe you turn the knob at the bottom of the glass shade counter clockwise to drop the shade to replace lamps.
Was this Answer Helpful ?the center mount twists off at the bottom. This is what holds the glass shade on. when you twist it off, the shade lowers revealing the bulb

Was this Answer Helpful ?the center of the globe has a small "head" -- this unscrews and the globe can then be removed to allow bulb to be accessed. Use caution when unscrewing as you will need to 'catch' the globe as it becomes lose.
