It says in the instructions not to shorten more then 5 slats. What happens if more than 5 slats are remoced?

I removed alot more then 5 and it works just fine for me. Just remember to not cut the retractable strings or youll have a mess. This was my first cordless blind and i didnt think of that so i had to take the blind all apart and rebuild it.

Thank you for your question. Because these blinds are cordless there is a weighted mechanism inside the head rail. If the weight of the blind changes more than 5 slats the ladder strings will retract into the head rail, ruining the blind because those strings cannot be re-threaded. Removing more than 5 slats will also void our manufacturers warranty.
