Do I need to caulk around the Escutcheon?


Hello and thank you for your interest in the Moen Adler Spot Resist Brushed Nickel 1-Handle Shower Faucet with Valve. The escutcheon plate includes a gasket that will flatten against the shower wall to prevent water from getting behind the plate. Caulking around the plate is optional; if you do choose to caulk, do not fill in the weep hole at the bottom of the plate.
