Just wondering what the difference is between your Lacquer and your Polycrylic. Both come in gloss, how should I choose between the two?

Hello. Polycrylic will be more durable. Also, it is soap and water cleanup. Our Clear Brushing Lacquer products are oil-based and are guaranteed to yellow or amber. Polycrylic may amber (mainly over light colored woods or stains and over white stains). Polycrylic will also emit less of an odor. Also, our Clear Brushing Lacquer product will require the use of our Lacquer Sanding Sealer, as a base coat. Polycrylic requires no base coat. Finally, Polycrylic does require sanding in between coats for adhesion, our Clear Brushing Lacquer product does not. Regards, Minwax Customer Support
