How does it hold up in winter, plows pushing snow up against it?

The durable polyethylene that our mail posts are molded from, is designed to be able to be left out in all seasons, in all weather conditions, including the coldest of Winters so there is no risk of the material becoming brittle or cracking in extreme cold temperatures. In terms of “Snow Plow Resistance”; our post sleeves stand up extremely well to snow pushed/piled around it however it is the mailbox support arm that typically takes the brunt of snow plow punishment. Customers in our snowy areas don’t commonly experience issues however the arm unfortunately will not withstand a direct hit from a plow, as well as heavy wet snow being thrown from a plow blade against the mailbox can transfer energy and weaken or break the arm overtime. If you are in an area that has high plow traffic, this can be minimized by adding additional reinforcement through mailbox itself into the 4x4 wood post. Although we are unable to cover external damage from plows under our product warranty, we are able to provide discounted replacement parts in the event that such damage does occur, to save you from having to replace the entire post. Should you find yourself in this position, please reach out to our customer service team directly at 1-866-363-8834 and we will be happy to assist.
