Can this product be used to raise the PH acidic level in soil? I have only read about granular sulfur not sulfur conditioner.

This appropriate answer to this question is yes. Sulfur is used to lower the ph level of your soil which said another way raises the acidic level. In other words if you have a soil with high ph (ph above 7) it is alkaline and you would use sulfur to lower the ph so it is below 7 and therefore acidic.

Elemental sulfur will only lower your soil pH, if you are looking to raise your pH (5.5 to 6.5) you will need some source of lime like calcium carbonate.
