Can you use on 4" x 10" ceramic subway tile. Can you use as a first row at the bottom row of a tub or use a rapid set thinset?


Thank you for your inquiry regarding MAPEI products! If your wall is cement board only, you can use the Mapei Ceramic Tile mortar to adhere your bottom row. If you have any waterproofing membranes, i.e. Aqua Defense or a sheet membrane, you will need to use the Mapei Rapid Setting Mortar or the Mapei Porcelain Tile Mortar for this installation in place of the Ceramic Tile Mortar.
