Our dogwood has slightly pinkish flowers, its supposed to be a white dogwood is this normal?its the first time it has bloomed.

Are the flowers pinkish during the entire floral bract bloom season, or only on opening? If you know the tradename for that dogwood tree, you could research its features or ask garden centers about it. May also depend on soil, sun (full sun and hot temperatures may actually bleach colored floral bracts, but you have color when you were expecting white).
