What's the horse power ?

Based on 120vac and 15 amp current draw, I would estimate that the HP of the motor is around 1.5 Hp. This is pretty standard for most portable contractor type saws.

3/4 to variable 1 HP. best saw I ever owned, if you can bog it you are a better man than me. I use it all day long and it never fails. God Bless hope this helps, please advise the Lowes team as this is free advice located on line under specs of saw on the site.

I do not believe they list a horsepower, but my experience is this saw is more powerful than an old famous brand homeowner saw I had that was rated as 3hp. It rips 8/4 red oak stock better than I expected. Ripping doug fir planks is no problem. This saw is not equal to the 5hp DeWalt I had in my shop years ago, but it does cut nicely.
