Hello there, We're sorry for the confusion but this spool will not fit model #KST 140XB. We're not sure as to where that was listed as it is incorrect. Model #KST 140XB comes with an easy to load trimmer head and does not use replacement spools. These spools are only compatible with Kobalt KST 120X string trimmer. However, the full model number of your unit has not been posted and we're simply advising based on what we assume is the full model number. If this is incorrect, please feel free to post the full model number and ask this question again.
