What exactly is damp rated? Could this be mounted under an outdoor gazebo?

Hello CV, Damp rated fans are designed to operate in partially enclosed spaces like screened porches or in damp placed like laundry rooms and bathrooms. Outdoor gazebos are very exposed structures that often allow rain to fall on items in the gazebo. We recommend wet-rated fans for gazebos or pergolas- because wet -rated fans are designed to withstand direct water exposure. Have a great day!
