Can a newspaper box be attached to the side of this post? Or is there a version of this post that accepts a newspaper box beneath the mailbox?

If desired, you can attach a mailbox post to the side of the post. Please note, there are no predrilled holes for the attachment, and the warranty would void if this caused unexpected damage to the post. We do not offer a post version to accommodate a newspaper box.
