It will remove the stain, but you will need to spray with Lysol after it is dry, to kill the germ. Be sure to check the padding for stain and mold.

Was this Answer Helpful ?Here is what I have been told by a mold inspector. The only thing recommended to me to kill mold and do it right is borax. Bleach will kill mold, but before it kills all the mold, it triggers a release of mold spores that then spread through the air and grow back. Chances are pretty good that if you have mold in your carpet, there is something that causes it that you have to fix first. A leaky water line, rain water seepage or even the condensation from an air conditioner can provide what mold needs to grow unless it is dried out within 48 hours. Please verify what I have written as I have not verified it beyond my one source.
