What infill should I use?


Infill is applied to the top of the artificial grass after it has been installed. Typically, 1-2 lbs per square foot is applied and the brushed in. After brushing the infill ‘disappears’ into the thatch layer of the turf. Infill is essential for supporting the ‘blades’ of grass so that they bounce back after being walked on and to add ballast to the turf so that it lays flat and smooth. The top two infill types used for synthetic grass and putting greens are acrylic coated sand and silica sand. Larger size for landscape installations and smaller size for putting greens.
