What are the dimensions of the outside bottom of the sink? I want to install it into a countertop hole that is 17 1/4 x 12 1/4.

We wanted to be sure the answer was here for reference - Per our conversation through email on 1/5/2021, this sink is not recommended to semi-recess in an existing hole. If the proportions and corners aren't exactly right, you'll end up with gaps between the counter and sink. The approximate dimensions for the flat bottom are 10 inches x 8 inches. Looking at the dimensions that were given, we're afraid they don't seem to line up correctly. Please Let us know if we can be of further assistance at 877-578-5584.
