Can this product be used for exterior applications?

I've been using one on my RV water line, which I made from Pex tubing, for several years now. I have this wrapped in the rubber tube insulation. The whole setup is outdoors all year long. I only plug the heat tape in once cold weather moves in then leave it plugged in for the winter. I change out the outer rubber tube insulaton as it becomes worn or damaged. But no problems with the heat tape. Mine is many years old and still works great. I would check packaging for safety if wrapping the tape and its attached to your home incase of fire hazard. Mine is all outside and runs from RV to the spicket, nothing attached to RV directly.

yes i've used it on a outside line for years and only had one problem and that was because of power outage due to ice storm and i had no generator
