Can this product be used in an outdoor application.


Absolutely, you just have to make sure it is insulated well and protected from the weather. NEVER expose an electrical plug in the weather where it can get wet or water seep in. This is very dangerous to you and the electrical circuits in your home or R/V. Electrocution from 110 volt circuits kill more people than any others.

The EasyHeat pipe heater may be used either indoors or outdoors as long as it is plugged into a GFCI recepticle. Failure to use a GFCI could transfer live 120 VAC electicity to the home's plumbing system in the event of an electical problem. In addition, it must be applied parallel to the length of the pipe without coiling it or twisting it around the circumference of the pipe. It also requires 1/2" pipe insulation to cover it. Otherwise, the warranty to protect down to -40 Deg. F may not apply. The 30' heater consumes a bit more electricity than two 100Watt incandescent light bulbs.
