Is there an end cap for the 8ft boards to give a finished look?

Hello Shasne3377, The solid-edge profile is ideal when board edges are visible, such as picture-frame boards or stair treads. Solid deck boards should be fastened through the top of the board using composite deck screws. Our deck boards are full-rectangular, 3-lobed, or 4-lobed. None of them are hollow. When you look at the ends, they are dark gray in color for the most part. That aside, we normally use fascia boards to hide the ends of the boards. Like a 1x10 or 1x12 fascia board that is attached to 2x10 or 2x12 joists or rim boards.
