Although I  received an answer, my question was not answered. Why is the gap between balusters more than 3" if Deckorators recommend 3"?

Chuck, we apologize for the confusion.  We do not recommend 3” of gap spacing between the balusters.  Our railings will meet International Building Code Requirements, which allow for a maximum of 4” of spacing between two balusters.  This railing kit will have approximately 3-7/8” of spacing between each baluster. - Your Deckorators Team
