Was this Answer Helpful ? Sales personnel told me that pull chains are being phased out. Newer models have a crank, or rod, approximately 3 feet long, that attaches to a hook which is located on the "clutch mounting bracket". Turn this rod to lower or raise the shade. Hope this helps.

To pull down just hold the bottom curtain rod from the middle out to the side downward and it is very simple. We have wind in the afternoons! The right side has an adjustment to tighten the roll up so that the wind will not hurt or bring out more curtain. Also id you have it very high up light a 10FT gazebo it comes with a rod to pull down! Simple nice and effective.
