can this be installed o metal framing or need drywall substrate


I think by "metal framing" you're talking about the suspended grid system, if so, the WoodHaven items can be attached under the 15/16" grid by using the Easy Up clips (1191SC -Sold Separately). This would normally be done if you already have a grid system in place and want to convert the look from a drop ceiling to the WoodHaven. Otherwise, the WoodHaven items can be installed using the WoodHaven clips that come in the box you purchase and attach them directly to furring strips on the exposed joists. You can also use the complete Easy Up track and clip system (1190 & 1191SC -sold separately) which is a floating system that allows for natural movement in the home and helps level the ceiling.
