What are the options for light bulbs (new type) that will give me the most light but won't extend underneath the shade?


Cree 40 Watt LED bulbs will fit fine and provide plenty of light.

I use the regular CFL bulbs and they only extend a little bit. However, in ,y kitchen ceiling fan, I use the CFL mini bulbs. They have the same base size but are shorter in length. Try those instead.

This vanity bar uses medium base, "standard," or E-26 light bulbs.

I used the micro 13w(60w) compact flourescent and shorter shades due to clearance issues. It was the shortest shades I could get at Lowes . Got the bulbs at Lowes also(came in a 4 pack for about $13). Pretty good light output when warmed up.
