We're happy to clear things up, Glenda. Rust-Oleum Zinsser Bulls Eye Shellac is not a food safe coating and should not be applied to any surfaces that will make direct food contact. The only food safe product we offer is Rust-Oleum Watco Butcher Block Oil and Finish. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14
