will this work with light fixture with frosted glass. bought some other brand and the lights kept flickering

If you happen to be using an LED bulb you may have a device made for incandescent causing the flickering. This Woods unit will not cause flickering as I can tell you it fixed my problem. The incandescent unit allows a tiny current flow in daylight which will make an LED flicker.

most of the time the sensor needs some direct light, so this may not work for you.

Unfortunately we do not recommend use with frosted glass fixtures as this can impede the function of the photocell.
