Is it only paintable with oil based paint? Not latex?

Hello. That is correct. We would recommend using latex paint for nonmetallic raceways. For steel raceways like the 700 series, we recommend first sanding the surface lightly with fine 180-grit sandpaper, then applying primer on the surface and painting the raceway using only oil-based enamel paint.
