I'm not sure what the underlying cause could've been for the customer to get shocked. This should not happen at any time when the strip is properly installed and used correctly. If this does happen do not use the strip and report the incident to our customer support group. They can be reached at 1-800-617-1768. Choose option 1 from the main menu to speak to a customer support representative..
