The only thing I needed to do for the install was drill a 1/8 inch hole in the water line to tap into and a saw (hack saw works great) to cut the plastic (or metal) drain pipe under your sink to make space for the included drain adapter. It does not come with the drill bit, drill or saw. Other than that "everything" needed was in the box. Installation was simple and this unit works great. Been using it for around 4 years now.
