how much ice will the ice bin hold and how much does it make in a 24 hr period

In my experience, the Ice maker works quickly, but the bin does *not* hold a lot of ice, conpared to other styles. They dont want to take too much space away from the refrigerator section. Its a surpisingly small ice storage bin.
