Will this work for me?

Without this softener my tub, sink and toilet are red within a couple of days. With this unit I do not have that problem. I have extremely hard water. This softener has worked great for me.

Not the 33,000 model. As a general rule for figuring hardness capacity in the presence of iron is to multiply the iron content times 3 to get an approximate hardness add on. So, in effect, the iron would theoretically add 86ppm hardness to be removed. The 33k unit would probably regenerate daily depending on the number of people in the home. Do you have red iron or clear water iron? Big difference...
