Model #S223GY-5 does fold up. We would direct you to grab the top of the ladder with your weaker hand and tilt the ladder towards you. Then with your strong hand grab the back of the ladder and pull/jerk straight up (obviously ensuring that the safety latch has been disengaged prior). The ladder should fold to a closed position.
