Yes it uses AC power and thus a cord and an electric outlet to plug into.

It works like this. Put some stain into the cup and attach it to the gun. Plug the electric cord in and begin spraying. It's that easy. Good luck with your projects!

Yes. When you click the trigger halfway it spins up a built in fan which pushes air through the nozzle. Holding the trigger full then allows stain to flow up from the cup and out the nozzle via the air from the small built in fan. It comes with a decent cord but you will likely need an extension cord for any real range.
