Can I use this product with a alkyd paint for my cabinets?


Unfortunately, a water-based paint will be too thick for the Opti-Stain Plus. If you are looking to spray a fine finish with that type of material, you should look at our Flexio models, specifically the 590, 690, and 890.

I wouldn't recommended it. The approved materials for this sprayer are all stains which are typically thinner than paint. Consider purchasing a PAINT sprayer instead of this STAIN sprayer. I hope that helps.
