Is this safe to use in my yard if my neighbors have a dog in their yard? And will this other keep dogs & cats out of my yard as well?

The sonic pulse is audible to pets, however when the spike is inserted into the soil, the sound heard above ground will be muffled. This product is only designed to repel moles and gophers.
