Light needed in a room,cannot install this in the roof. Will this works installed vertically in a wall? I need something to fit between 16" studs.


No. I'm afraid that this product is not suitable for a vertical wall. The deck mounted skylight should only be installed on a roof that is between a minimum of a 3/12 pitch up to a maximum pitch of 137/12. VELUX cannot recommend installing any of our products in this manner as it will void the warranty.
