Plugged in the light & it doesn’t light up. Is it defective or is there a secret to getting it to work?

Thank you for your purchase. The light has a dusk-to-dawn sensor and will only light up if the room is dark enough. If it still does not work when in a dark space after 10 seconds, I would suggest exchanging it at the store.
