I have mind behind a large entertainment center. And I've had NO problems with the remote working from anywhere in the room. So I'd have to say yes, it works behind furniture.

Was this Answer Helpful ?I had it behind a piano and it did not work well unless the remote was pointed directly at it. I bought a 3 pack of the same brand and same design and it worked perfect. You could be in a different room and turn on all the lights. This version doesn't seem to work as well.
