Is it safe/legal to use these type connectors in-line and not in a junction box?


I would ask you double check with your local code inspector but as a general rule I would say no any electrical connection should be inside an electrical box.

You shouldn't have any exposed junctions with this product or typical wire nuts. All junctions should be made in a junction box.
