Power cord and ceiling mount

They are three prong, the cord is 5 ft. long.
Was this Answer Helpful ?I am a firm believer in opening boxes before I buy something! Yes, the plugs are 3 prongs and the cords are approx. 3 feet. I needed extension cords for two of the three that I bought because of where the existing outlet was located. This model is made to hang, but they do have a similar one that is a flush mount type. I almost bought that one by accident.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes - 3-Prong cord. I did not connect the ground and they work fine. The cord is probably 4 ft long. The cord exits the top side of the fixture so you would need an 1/4" to pass the cable between the ceiling and fixture. Shouldn't be an issue.
Was this Answer Helpful ?Yes, it is a 3-prong 115 Vac power-cord, about 6' in length. There's only about (2 pieces) 14" of chain for hanging the fixture, so if like me, you will need to hang it from the ceiling, and need 2 or 3 feet of drop, you'll also need more chain to hang it. The pull chain is approximately 2' long, so it makes it very easy to use. The fixture is pretty light, so you could use molly bolts on drywall, or shoot screws into the studs.
Was this Answer Helpful ?How long is the power cord? - About 6 feet. Is it 3 prong? - Yes. Can this fixture be mounted flush to the ceiling (to drywall on studs)? Yes but with some work. To get to the inside of the fixture, you need to drill out the pop-rivets that hold the end caps. Only then will you have access to the inside where you could secure to the ceiling with molly bolts or ???. The company makes another unit that's designed to mount to the ceiling. Probably a better choice
Was this Answer Helpful ?Exactly what happened when I bought this light. I thought it was going to be a hard-wired and flush mount light, which is available for the same price only after I bought the light. It's a three prong cord, a few feet long. It is not a flush-mount light and can only be hung from the chain it comes with. Definitely recommend buying the flush-mount version of this light.
Was this Answer Helpful ?The cord is 5 foot long and is three prong. You could mount them flush with the ceiling, however you would need to cut into your ceiling. The unit comes with drop down hooks and chain and can be secured with in an inch or two of your finished ceiling.
