My shop is 30x50 with ceiling height from 12 to 16 feet. How many fixtures should I install?


I suggest that one light per 10 square feet of floor space and if possible hang approximately 10 inches from ceiling. that would be 15 lights to cover the general area. However I would hang additional lights close to or directly over the primary work area.

My shop is only half that size and I'm using two. So I'd recommend at least two, and then another right over your primary working site or workbench.
