Is it normal for the fan motor to get quite hot in the back?

It is normal for any fan to get warm because of accessibility to the motor.

"Quite hot" is an abstract statement.Does it burn your hand if you touch it? I run my fan all night for air movement and white noise. While the motor gets what I consider warm,it does not get hot. The fan is equiped with a gfi plug so if there is a problem the electricty is turned off at that point. The motor is completely enclosed so some heat buil up is inevitable, but In my opinion it should not burn your hand.
